Yet another permutation of possible logistics occurred on this day. Joe drove Lisa’s car while I drove his car. I parked his car at the spot where we would end our walk and rode with him to Blodgett Country Store where we had finished the previous day.
This was another day without anything particularly memorable happening; and yet it was as nice a day for a walk as one could wish for, definitely a day for wearing shorts and teeshirt. The way took us through rolling hills with occasional farms of horses, sheep or cattle. There was even a large stand of poplar trees grown specifically for paper fiber.
We had our earliest start time and end time to date. We drove back to Blodgett to pick up the other car, then headed east again. We stopped in Philomath at La Roca drive-in for lunch: no phone, no credit cards, no debit cards, no checks, no public restroom, no indoor seating, almost no spoken English; just lots of good, cheap Mexican food.
