Day 03:  Big switchback on Highway 20 near Eddyville to Coast Range Summit
Tuesday, April 25, 2006

We followed the same procedure as yesterday and the day before, carpooling with the ladies to where we had finished the day before.  The walk was mainly more of the same, forests and low mountains in the Coast Range drained by babbling brooks into the Yaquina River.

At Eddyville we stopped for a few minutes and talked with a young man who was tending the store (an open barn door) of the Rain Forest Mushroom Company.  Business on this day was pretty much nonexistent, so he didn’t seem to mind that all we wanted to do was look.  We finished the day at a nameless side road a short distance west of the summit of the Coast Range, where Lisa and Marty picked us up.
